LED Health Hazards to be Aware of

Sep 21, 2017 | Safety

In the past with metal halide lamps the hazard was with the short wave – length ultraviolet, possibly causing skin cancer and cataract.  In this field Dedo has always offered the worldwide lowest and safest uv-value.  With LED light sources an additional hazard can be found, caused by the unavoidable blue peak.

New criteria have to be applied as in bio-hazard standard EN6247. Our products comply with the requirements of bio-hazard standard EN6247 in the category of “exempt” (without any health hazard criteria).
